SC3812-TDN
High Resolution Mechanism Driven
True Day & Night Camera featuring
1/3" SONY ExView CCD with Sony Digital Signal Processor
In 2004, Ambush once again launches upgraded, high quality TRUE DAY NIGHT (TDN) cameras. At the moment our main focus is strongly on reliability, which we believe is the most important quality for security products. By 2003, Ambush's TDN mechanism was based on filter change by small motor that control the light amount going in and out, and also other external influences. To provide reliable and absolute TDN products to our customers, Ambush finally succeeded on using of SOLENOID mechanism. The biggest advantage of adopting SOLENOID TDN mechanism is that Optical Low Pass Filter and Glass would automatically switch only upon certain level of light without any other sources. Even though many customers were satisfied with our previous TDN cameras in the past, Ambush's goal is to come across best security solution for our customers Using Metal Lens Holder and button type of Line Lock adjustment also increases reliability of security cameras. Lower Power Consumption Is absolutely helpful, since it's related to camera's lifetime. Besides, achieving very Wide Operating Voltage Range, 2nd video output, and Dip Switch provides friendly and easy installation.
- True Day Night function
True day/night by moving OLPF and glass At night [B/W mode], the color is killed
- RS-232 Control
AGC gain/auto White Balance, color gain (red, blue)/hue controlled by RS-232C via optional software and cable adaptor.
- Push Lock Mode
Convergence works at faster operating speed than ATW without a operating frame or other limitations.
- Digital Signal Processor
Regulated and excellent colored picture is provided by quality-reliable digital signal processor.
- DIP SWITCH CONTROL
- Functions Supported: Auto Electronic Shutter (AES), Auto Iris(AI), Auto Gain Control (AGC), Auto White Balance (AWB), Manual White Balance (MWB), Back Light Compensation (BlC), Flickerless mode (Fl), Line lock (for AC- Type only).
- Supports Auto Iris Lens: both Video-Drive & DC-Drive lens.
It allows wide range of voltage input upon various needs on operating circumstances.(8V~18V)
- Supports both C and CS mount Lenses.
- Wide voltage input operation .

What is a True Dynamic Mechanism?
For a camera to called a TRUE Day & Night unit, it needs to feature some key engineering components. Without these core mechanical elements, it is only imitating a True Day & Night Camera. Here is a list of core features of a True Day & Night Camera: |
Unique Design of True Day & Night Mechanism - SOLENOID
TRUE DAY NIGHT (TDN) Function using Solenoid TDN Mechanism exists only at Ambush. OLPF filter and Glass can be switched upon certain level of light without any other influence.
Only light level makes this mechanism to work. Also it's very reliable, being able to withstand even at high temperature since it uses LCP material that endures over 200¡É.

Controlling Processor of TDN mechanism-
MICOM Chipset

MICOM, Ambush's own technology, is a Main Chipset for TDN camera. MICOM continuously controls and adjusts Gamma and iris level upon certain external light condition. Meaning MICOM judges the timing for the camera from switching Color to BW or vise versa.
|
Color Killing Function
This function is recommended when TDN is not being used because it helps camera performance at low illumination. By controlling the burst perfectly, the camera changes to BW mode and achieves clear images with higher sensitivity. |
